If there are at least four things I am addicted to it's the following:
Tuna, ice skating, The Beatles, and Invader Zim
And just for you I'm going to spend a portion of my life to tell you about my addictions (Lucky, lucky, you..-_-).
Tuna
As far as I can remember, I've always loved tuna. I loved it so much that I thought at one point I was part cat in some way, shape, or form. People tell me that they think fish is disgusting. I don't see what could possibly be disgusting about tuna! Sometimes, I don't only eat it in sandwiches, like most people do. Sometimes I just choose to get tuna as an entire fish, cook it, and eat it with rice. Most of the time, whenever I make a tuna sandwich, there's usually a lot of tuna left. I just add some mayonnaise, and eat it as it is.
Ice Skating
I'll admit it. I'm not the best ice skater around. Possibly, I be the worst ever. But, I love the feeling. The feeling just being on the ice. Last Saturday, I was in an ice skating competition. I won 1st place in all my events. It felt so good, just to have everyone cheering for me.
Well getting away from the competition, I love the feeling. I usually spend most of my practice time just doing some wimpy pre-alpha maneuvers going around the rink in laps for about two hours. Once I get off the ice, I always take time to just look at my blades and admire all the ice that developed on them, just to know I did something.
I might not be the next Michelle Kwan, Miki Ando, or Jessica Dube, but I at least have some interest, passion and love for the sport. (That's good enough right?!)
The Beatles
This might be the biggest addiction that will follow me for the rest of my lifetime. I just love those four lads from Liverpool. Once I gave up on current pop culture, I almost banished my love and passion for the guitar into another dimension never to be seen again. When I was on the verge of throwing the guitar into the other dimension, The Beatles came, grabbed my arm and guitar out of my hand, and scolded me before I did something stupid. So in a sense, I regained love for guitar from The Beatles.
I don't want to sound like some corny crappy fan girl but I just love The Beatles. I own at least 3 shirts, 4 instruments named after them, 5 pictures of them in my room, a dvd, 3 cds, and 2 books on The Beatles. I was attracted to The Beatles when I was assigned to study about them for Decathlon. Once I was told I wasn't going to be on the competing team, I let go of the Beatles for a year. I once found The Beatles again when I saw the tribute band Rain. I even met their "George", Joe Bithorn. He was pretty cool. After I saw that show, I went home and looked up Beatles on Google.
It goes to show that everything comes back harder the second time. The Beatles are my proof.
Invader Zim
You just gotta love that little guy just bent on world domination right? Love him so much. I liked that show so much when I was 5 years old I remember clearly. Then around 2002 or 2003 the show magically disappeared. I was heartbroken. Then 6 or 7 years later, I found out why they canceled the show. I was even more heartbroken.
I have an Invader Zim tank top. It has a picture of Gir eating a cupcake in his doggie suit and the words "Invader Zim" on it. I love that Gir. With his rubber piggie and his moose AND DON'T FORGET THE WAFFLES!!!!
Gir:Thank you...I love you...
Zim:Gir! We fend humans away from our home! Not invite them over!
Gir: *running away giddily* I had a coupon!
That describes my relationship with Invader Zim.
Gir is the best hench robot ever.
Well I'm done. I just needed at least one journal post here so my page doesn't look very blank. Thanks for reading, whoever you are. (You're probably the only one who's ever read it besides me anyways...)
